1776 - Germantown - I like this battle for the options the map gives you. There are a lot of places you can move around without coming into LOS, which allows for some good suprize attacks. Just ask Dave... 1812 - Lundy's Lane - Because it's a pretty good slugfest. Room to maneuver and potential for both sides to come out on top. (I like my new custom map better though...everyone can play that soon.)
Maj. Hamilton LGen. Hamilton Gen.de Brig. 1776 Germantown is my favorite because it offers the time and circumstances to use several different tactical approaches (from the Continental army perspective) to the battle. I also enjoy Brandywine for the same reason. I like them all, everyone. Well, maybe not all, but the majority. Germantown, Brandywine, Saratoga and Valley Forge are very good games for manuevering, for 1776. For 1812, my favorite is Plattsburg, with only a couple that I find not enjoyable. LtCol Ernie Sands, 3rd East Kent,British Army,CCC Lt Ernie Sands,1 Konig,VIII Corps, Adu BG Ernie Sands, 3/3/X AoO Ernie Sands, President, Colonial Campaigns Club |

Eutaw Springs - game has several options and is medium sized - easy enough to get a game done in one or two evenings of fast file transfers. The battle usually comes out in favor of the US player but if the Brits are tough and careful to not allow flank shots and the American overly divides his forces then they can win. Maj Gen (Brev.)
