Post subject:  Specialist or Generalist?

Are you a specialist or a Generalist? In other words, do you find yourself returning to the same short list of battles time and again, or do you like to sample a bit of everything?

I'll be honest, I'm very very glad that I didn't really get into any of these games until the HPS era was already started. One of the real frustrations of the BG games is their "limitedness". I personally don't like playing scenarios that are "pieces" of a battle. I want to play the whole battle. Now, I have no problem with small battles. Big or small, I just want it to be the whole shootin match. That said, in the BG era in Nap and ACW, you were pretty limited in what you could do.

That's one reason I love this club and these games (the people and atmosphere are #1, but this is #2). There is such a wonderful range of things you can play.

If I want...
A wide open battle of manuever... I go for Germantown a
A small but highly challenging scenario, I go for Chippawa
to slaughter Englishmen, I go for Bunker Hill [}:)]
an all out slugging match, Brandywine it is.

And the list can go on and on. Lots of battles, lots of possibilities. I love it.
