| Post subject: | Have you found any "artifacts"? |
Now by "artifacts" I mean pretty much anything that can apply to it, like coins, buttons etc and not only very very valuable and old things. I know many people find coins and especially buttons and stuff from the 18th century and other periods. Me, I haven't found anything here around where I live in Sweden, but archeologists do. I live in an area where they've found many things from the Viking era and earlier. However, one of the most interested finds in my opinion that was recently discovered was a (presumably) Christian cross made of bones just 10 mins from where I live. It was found in a grave and so far I've only heard and read that they date it to be atleast 1000 years old. It's an important object in the subject of when this area of Sweden became Christian. For those of you that live in the states, have you found anything around where you live or know of any interesting finds? Just curious [:)]. |
