My Dear French Adversaries,

Your Marechal Barden is currently teaching me several resounding lessons at Ligney and I am in need of a moral boosting game.

Would one of you newer recruits care to do battle with me?

Preferably someone with a shiny new sword that I will be able to hang on my trophy wall. ;-)

Surely there is one of you brave enough to challenge a brash new Ensign?

Ensign Barrett, the Marechal of France that you currently face is indeed one of the very best warriors which they possess. It is no dishonor whatsoever to suffer defeat at his hands. Absorb the painful lessons, and emerge the stronger warrior for the encounter. :? :o

I salute your courage, Ensign, as I salute the honorable foe to which you find yourself so desperately opposed. :P

Sir! would you mind to accept my challenge? I promise that I have strong personal moral and won't be slaughtered easily
What about chose a scenario with some maneuvers, said Ligny & Quatre Bras ? any rule is OK as you wish.
My last two games are all about attacking ditchs and fleches, I really hate that :(

Sir,

It will be an honour to cross swords with you.

Ligny & Quatre Bras will be a challenge indeed. It does seem as though quite a number of Belgians have infiltrated the ranks of the Prussian army present at this battle. Whilst they seem to be very good athletes, regrettably, they run in the wrong direction.

Being a lowly Ensign I do not have an Aide De Camp but I will try to find a Corporal who can steal a donkey and deliver terms to you. Try to refrain from shooting the messenger, I may need him in battle and the donkey for dinner.

May your God be with you,

Lt. Zou, I wish you luck in your coming engagement against the brash young Ensign barret. Although well nigh irredeemable due to his affiliation with perfidious Albion, I find he has a capacity for bravery and honor often lacking in the redcoated lackeys. I suspect that is due to some Gallic influences in his upbringing.

Best of luck to both of you on the field of honor.

Salute young Ensign

I would be more than happy to do battle with you but just because I'm a new Sous Lieutenant will not bring a victory for you.

"I suspect that is due to some Gallic influences in his upbringing. "

Are you saying his mother is a French trollup newly popular as wives and common-law companions of many of the leaders and commanders of this revoluntionary band of brothers ... and sheep?

If he wasn't currently involved on the field of battle he might take offense to such an allegation.

Salute Sous Lieutenant Mark Hornsby,

Regrettably I am otherwise engaged at the moment. However I should have some spare time shortly if your Marechal Bardon has his way. I seem to be running short of Prussians!

If you are still free I would welcome the opportunity to relieve you of your sword at a later date. Please use the time to make it nice and shiny. ;-)
