Gentlemen,

I am back from my LOA due to RL commitments that were overtaking my free time and hence, gaming had to take the sidelines for a few months. In any event, I'm back. If I owe anybody a completed confirmation, please resend and I will confirm.
Otherwise, I am looking for opponent(s) for medium sized scenarios from our newest title Campaign Bautzen & Wagram. I can play 2-3 turns a week, usually. Rules and side played are negotiable, but I am flexible and easy going either way.

Gary,

According to the DoR System, you currently already have ten games in play. In addition to those, I have had to cancel two games because your opponent registered a complaint of abandonment, and I just confirmed the end of a 44 turn game tonight that had only been played to 15 turns. Your opponent entered the End Game Result two months ago, so this sure looks like an abandoned game as well.

The agreement was that you would never have more than three active games at one time and Scott Ludwig, Bill Peters (now gone from the club), and your unit commanders were going to monitor your games to ensure that we did not end up back in the same position we were in some months ago. Obviously this was not done, and we find ourselves right back where we did not want to be.

This is your very last warning. Take the ten, registered games that you have and play them to a conclusion. I better not find out that you have abandoned all of them again. Scott and I personally went to bat for you in the Cabinet to give you a second chance. There will not be a third.

Mark,

I want to thank you for your warm extended welcome back, Much appreciated....

If anyone active in a game with me would like to finish please email. Otherwise, I have no issue finalizing whatever games are over & need my confirmation for closure.

If I get no emails for the previous games, then this post is open once again.

FYI Mark: it was quite clear via a mass email to my opponents, that RL had to take priority over computer games. Hence, abandonment was not the issue whatsoever. I'm sorry that this has bothered you so badly, but family & saving lives for a living can tax an individual in many ways. In my opinion, that is more important than computer games.

Gary some of what you say is very true, but you missed the point and Mark had a large part in you staying with us. So do not be upset with someone who went out on a limb for you.

Battle On...

Gary I could not agree with you more regarding this comment. However this club has some rules and if you want to belong to it its a simple courtesy to follow them. If you don't thats fine as I totally agree with your comment.

I also have real life challenges as many people do in the club. Take Cliff he is enduring Chemo but following club rules still.
As Al said Mark is a good man and deserves to be respected for his support of you.

Take care.

Todd & Al,

Thank you for agreement with my stance on this. You two are correct as well, in saying that Mark stood up for me and for that, I am forever grateful.

Gary to qualify I was saying if you don't want to belong to the club thats fine as I agree real life challenges can cause us to leave.

Colin, you are right, Mark is definitely a good man, even as Hanoverian General. At least he don't sing like some of them...
