Looking for opponents - battles or maneuvers. Recently retired, so pace can be slow or fast or in between. I'm French, you're not. ![]() Campaign Austerlitz #24A-HTH-Moravia - CLOSED Thank you, Garret. 250 Turns 10-12 December 1805 - Alternate - Historically, Charles' army was never able to make a union with Alexander because of the latter's decision to force a battle before they could join forces. What if Alexander had waited for Charles and Napoleon had used the time to bring up more forces? The assumption is that Charles would have sidestepped Vienna by way of Pressburg and then to Austerlitz. Massena would have marched via Vienna and arrived later for the battle. Various forces in and around Vienna would have been called up for the battle. Should be played Head-to-Head. Campaign Jena-Auerstadt #11x_Karlsburg- CLOSED Thank you, Bob Hughes. 325 Turns 21 October 1806 - (What-if) Napoleon has embarked upon a bold plan of campaign. He marches through Strausland in hopes of bringing the Allies to battle on favorable terms. His staunch cavalry commander, Murat, is sent ahead to reconnoiter the situation but instead partakes of a wild ride around the Allied armies assembled to the east. Thus, Napoleon is out of touch with the situation for a full 48 hours. Meanwhile, the Prussians were trying to keep pace with Napoleon's march around their right flank. With the Russians marching over from Hauptstadt, Brunswick knew that he must hold off Napoleon until reinforcements could arrive. His wing had to buy time for the rest of the Allies to assemble and bring their superior numbers to bear. And thus, as Ney's corps marched down the Augustburg road to destiny the stage was set for one of the most famous battles of lore - Karlsburg! Best played head-to-head. Campaign Eylau CAMP-004_Second-Eylau_HTH CLOSED Thank you, Todd Hively 80 Turns 12 June 1807 - Campaign - Intended to be played Head-to-Head - In this large operational battle scenario, the French are advancing on Eylau. The Russians have taken up a position to the north. Both sides have plenty of time and space to work with. [b]Bonaparte's Peninsula War 140.Rolica_to_Vimeiro- CLOSED Thank you Mike Davies. 120 Turns This 120 turn "what if" scenario starts with the situation at Rolica on 17th August but allows the various reinforcements to arrive far earlier than they did historically, since otherwise the scenario would be an unplayable 360 turns long with many troops not arriving until almost the end. Some additional French troops available to Junot but not historically present have been included for play-balance. While there's no certainty that the decisive action will be fought in the vicinity of Vimeiro, various factors may nevertheless make this a distinct possibility. I reserve all rights to whine and moan. It probably means you're winning. ![]() |

Where are all the Allied Big Boots? Are they not in need of an easy victory? |

Ah Versailles in the springtime, sounds about right. Just make sure your cellars are well stocked Sir, I often have a thirst after a fight. I've also received some rather amorous correspondence from some of your French fillies, apparently they would be more than welcome to help heal my wounds and console my dented pride! View Haloo!! |
