Gentlemen, I am seeking an experienced officer to play a custom revision of #6 (fixed unit) scenario of the Waterloo game. My revision is based on the historical record mainly concerning the timing and placing of reinforcements on both sides . My authority for the changes comes from John Hussey's Campaign of 1815 which is a quite detailed account. I am seeking to exchange 3+ turns per week. I am negotiable on optional rules. If interested e-mail my HQ and I will send the revised scenario file. I will play either side but prefer the French. Respectfully, |

Apologies for a bit off topic but it is worth to consider adjusting the PDT file for road movement costs from 1 to 2. The map has a thick network of roads which completely negate the strategic value of pikes which played the key role in the decision making historically: the logic of Quatre Bras battle for instance, the routes of advance, communication lines etc. I believe with road movement cost at 1 the historical challengers cannot be possibly replicated within the game. |

Hello Alexey, I agree the value of pikes are diminished but to make movement on ordinary ordinary roads the same as open country is not correct. The old Eckmuhl game had a 24 point movement pdt. which differentiated between pikes and roads but unfortunately that pdt has been changed. I think if you look at the changes I have made to the Waterloo game that a more historical game is possible. Tom |
