Officers, I'm looking for an opponent for a huge strategic battle of the kind that some of the WDS Napoleonic games can offer (for instance, Jena & Auerstadt, Eckmuhl, Leipzig, or Waterloo). I know it's a long commitment - but nonetheless great fun... I invite - or, rather, challenge - both experienced players and newcomers as there will be plenty of time to learn In - game options and house rules are negotiable except for 'Retreat overruns' and 'no detached melee,' which are both, in my opinion, extremely unrealistic... As I said, I know quite well that Leipzig - with over three hundred turns and almost 800k soldiers to be moved by both sides - can be intimidating so if there is no one ready to pick up the gauntlet, I can put up with playing any - preferably historical - set piece such as Waterloo & Wavre, QB & Ligny, Friedland, Maloyaroslavets, etc., or any of the Peninsular campaigns... |
