Direct dial or hot seat games appeal to me because of the speed but do have a couple of PBEM games running at the moment

I think the point of the earlier comment is that it is customary to include your name and unit in the posts. That way others know who is looking for a game, voicing an opinion, etc. You can establish a signature and have it appended to all your posts.
