Post subject:  Allied opponent for HPS Waterloo Campaign

Hi to everyone.
I've Just finish my training in the great Ecole de Mars and now I'm ready to fight for the Emperor's Glory.

I have a dream: play the great 06.large_fixed trying to change the course of history.

But I'd like to play about every scenario of the HPS series You'd like.

Regards,

Lieutenant Ostinelli

I am assuming you mean Waterloo, my good lieutenant? [:)]

You may want to consider playing the campaign instead. It's the same, only both opponents get three choices for their strategy, so you don't know which deployment you end up with. Nappy can advance through the center, through the right, or the left; and Wellington can deploy nearer to Blücher, or nearer to his right, than he did historically. That introduces an operational element and increases the suspense for both sides. Just start the campaign front end (cp_start.exe) and select "large campaign no units fixed". That's the Belgium map and 388 turns. Then with your opponent you exchange the .cpf rather than the .bte file. It's the best way to play a campaign IMO.
