Post subject: | Seeking a Third Baton |
Esteemed Marechals of the Armee du Lilliput: Having recently captured my second Marechal's baton and placed it on the wall of my trophy room, I find that I still have room for more. [:0] What French Marechal would like to try to take my sword? Any HPS title will do. Your choice... but try not to give yourself too much advantage. Forty-eight hours and still not a single Marechal has risen to the challenge -- with due respect to Corbin and Beecham who did bravely answer the call but have already fallen to my sword and my horse. Very well then, let me call the other children out by name: Paco, Mitchell, Peterson, Malone, Thayer, Aymonier-Ameline, Stone, Nowacki, and DeMello. There may be others -- Nappy has given batons away with little regard to merit -- and so I will wait here in the Tavern until one of these sad excuses for a field commander stands up to defend his Emperor. Finally, I get satisfaction! Paco the Great joins Hall and Lambert (altough technically Lambert lacks a baton). Three combats on three fields -- should be interesting. My horse and I are off to rouse the legions. FM Sir 'Muddy' Jones, KG 2nd Life Guards, Household Cavalry |

As a Marechal of France I am shocked at the lack of response from my fellow Marechal's. Must I ride again onto the field to satisfy honor ? I hear tell of a small place called Jena that I am keen to visit.

Monsieur le Marechal Baron John Corbin Duc de Paive Commanding the Division de Cavalerie de la Jeune Garde NWC President
|

Sir Muddy, Perhaps the Marshall's of France you have faced were not up to your standards. But Lt. Col will be more then happy to set the record straight for the Armee du Nord. Since you represent the Brits what about Waterloo on the Company level as offered in the expansions pack by Mr. Hamilton. I realize that you have much to lose facing a Col but the Major Victory I shall reap should ease the pain of the rank difference Or the Waterloo campaign should you prefer a protracted affair? I assure you you will have all you can handle should you shoose to engage I remain your obedient servant, Art Ozols Lt. Col 3/5/II Army du Nord |
