Post subject:  problem with vista[:(!]
i have an opponent who has no success in playing a campaign game (NRC/Russian side) by email with vista!
he has the last patch and delete xxx. and yyy...
anyway it's only the 1st turn and he can't read the cpf file, even if he tries to play against himself[}:)]
i suggested to go into properties of the file and check on "archive" (not only reading) but... nothing
on the other hand he tells me there's no problem in playing a single battle
did anybody have this problem yet?

HPS has a section on their web page that provides specific instructions on how to deal with Vista issues:
http://www.hpssims.com/vistahelp.htm

If this doesn't solve the problem, send an email, with a copy of the game files, to HPS tech support.

By default the game will want to install the to the <font color="blue">c:\Progam Files </font id="blue">directory. HPS games will work correctly in VISTA if they are installed there. He needs to create a new directory ubder c:\ and install his games there. I use <font color="red">C:\HPS Simulations\xxxxxx</font id="red">. Where xxxxxx is the Campaign Disk name. This is the gist of what the link Paco has provided you will say. Good luck.
