Does anyone know when this game will be released?[?][?]

The game site does not provide any information to cover that.[:(]

Also, does anyone know what the system requirements will be? I have been holding back on getting a graphics card upgrade I can afford until I know what the minimum requirements will be. [:I]

JMM (The main Developer) has said it will be finished when it is done, almost certainly some time next year.

As far as I can tell the aim for the minimum system requirements is to get the game to run on:
1.5 GhZ Processor
384 MB RAM
NVidia GeForce 5200 (128 MB)

I prefer the "when its done it comes out" and no release dates. Just keeps down the amount of buzz that goes on for a game. Mainly the upset customers when a date is reached, passed, long gone and then forgotten.

Hope its a good game - I like the concept of gaming with 3d at times. Still an old 2d boardgamer type but it would be nice to see a Napoleonic game with excellent graphics that WORKS. (the latter being the key thing)

Oh - I wont buy it until I hear that it works on XP64. I bought the newer Combat Mission games and they wont work in my newer PC - mouse/pointer doesnt work right when I play the Desert game.

So now I just find someone that owns XP64 before I shell out the coin for a new game.

Colin,
I think I would consider some sort of deal for my soul for an 1813 game. Grognards looks good by my problem with similar games (take command, the old Waterloo and Austerlizt real time games) is information overload. There is a fine line between simulating command (i.e., placing your divisions and not micromanaging) and being bored or not being able to control much. I really liked Take Command but anything larger than a division made my head spin. And a division was hard! Maybe I did not put enough time into the game, but the last few years I have not had much time to learn new engines...
