Post subject:  Death in NWC family

Gentlemen, It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of my friend Richard Asher. His wife Sherrie has asked me to announce this in the club. He wasn't very well for quite awhile and finally passed away peacefully over the weekend. I will miss him as a friend and I'm sure many will miss him on the battlefield. He was a Brigadier General in the Allied Cavalry Corps, but more importantly he had many friends and I am proud to count myself among them.
Goodbye Rich....Salute!

This is sad news indeed. Please give our best regards to his wife and family. I remember BG Asher as a fellow officer who personified the finest traditions of the Allied Cavalry Corps. May he rest in peace.

Please pass along to his wife our deepest sympathy.

I didn't know him well. Tell us a little about him. Where did he live? What battles do you remember being in with him?

Any experiences of other club members with Paul would be of great interest to all of us.

The club flag will fly at half mast today to honor this fine member.

Yes, sad news indeed as all agree. I never played him but did correspond with him on several occasions. A big loss to the club.

Very sad indeed, I did have the pleasure of crossing swords with him, a very gifted General. More importantly though, my thoughts go out to his wife and family and I hope they can find some comfort in these very difficult times.
