Post subject:  Jena Campaign Games Patch

I have had the pleasure of fighting three battles in the same Campaign, the first 200+ turns the second 60+ and the third which is on going 24. It has been enjoyable because we were supplied with a "yet to be issued" patch that passes the casualties through to the next scn. Could this be posted by HPS in the near future as it otherwise makes Campaign games pointless.

Can you be more descriptive?

I have been really busy as of late on game design work, probably have the files ready to go but dont have a clue what you are talking about.

An ORG file that passed the losses from one scenario to the next was in the original release.

Is this something I did and have forgotten about or did someone else do the work?

It fixed the path from the opening fight to the 2nd battle, which I think was Eilenberg Wurtzen.... I cannot remember if Bill sent it to Bruce and I or if it was Rich. And this was in December, I think.
And I believe it was hush hush ;)

LOL

Hush hush and its up on the forum.

Guess we know who we can trust with secrets ...[;)]

Ok - I am just joking.[:D]

Whatever I do I end up putting in updates. Anything I sent out will appear in the next update due out as soon as another title is ready to go.

When? Should be out by the Fall I am guessing.

Or later in the Winter. If something gets delayed by early next year.

But this is an unofficial guess. I may pack my bags and move to Cuba! [:p]

Cha cha cha[;)]

Well, since Bruce brought it up, I thought I would clarify!
I think i would be good for Bill to go to Cuba, like Hemingway. Find your muse on the beaches, get some satellite internet, and finish your next game, Napoleon in India or whatever you claim to not be working on....

[:D] Wellington in India actually.

Its a game about the Raj, oliphants, and rare Indian spices!

Hope you have a sweet tooth ready! [8D][:p]

If either of you would send me what I sent you (so very long ago) I would appreciate it. Tomasz verified to me that our losses were not being carried over in our campaign game.

Thus this is a top priority issue that I need to fix.

As its been some time since this all was look after I would like some input from you guys. If you still have the zip I sent you please send it along. I am sure I already have the files ready to go for the next game but I may have not added them to the "Next Update" folder.

Any help you can give this sorry beachbum would be appreciated! [:p]

Aloha![8D]

Bill, I am not sure if rare Indian spices are legal in all 50 states or the EU, so HPS may need to do some legal legwork before release.
Will send file tomorrow.

Not sure an observable error is a secret.

The secret perhaps was that HPS didn't have time or inclination to formally issue a patch that was available to Jim and me.

The concept of a Campaign is totally negated if casualties are not cumulative.

Actually the updates usually go out only if something doesnt work meaning that the game wont play.

Something like this is not deemed neccessary to put out an update.

Hey, we do our best and John doesnt want to put out updates all that often if he can help it.

Although I found it bothersome Tomasz and I continued our campaign.

The update will be out within 3 months or when the next game comes out whichever comes first. I promise you that you wont have to wait too much longer.

(note: HPS has nothing to do with our updates. John is his own boss and whenver he has to release an update he just gets the files over to their webserver and they post the links. Its John's call basically)
