Post subject:  Anglo-Allied officers: report yourself active

Dear officers of the Anglo-Allied army,

You all received a private courier (by email) about the re-organisation of the Anglo-Allied.
You were requested to report yourself active, and march to the drums.

If you did not receive anything, then let us know within the next couple of days throughout this forum.

The new Order Of Battle will be made this weekend.

Greetings,

Sir,

I did not receive an e-mail either. I am still active and currently fighting a NRC game at Borodino. My e-mail address is dalelast(at)yahoo.com. Also, is there still going to be a Cavalry Corps in the army? I didn't see one listed on the new webpage. Thanks.

Cheers,

Dear 'lost' officers,

Please report your latest email address, or send me and email message. The reasons that you are not receiving emails is probably because we don't have your latest address. I was also sending some personal messages throughout this forum (to you Ed !) But your old email address is probably also attached to this forum.

Please let me know,

Have searched the local inns, questioned the trollops therein, but can find no packets... oops! Meant mail pkts. not the British army slang for unmentionable disease.[:I]

The easiest thing to do is to answer the quarter roll call and update your email addresses. The commanding officer cannot possibly reach each individual otherwise.

Yes, indeed Sir Muddy, but you are one of the officers of which the emails are bouncing. And we don't want to loose you!!

We are now focussing on 'missing' officers only (one by one, there is no choice).

Please forward me your current email.

A full report of the re-organisation will be posted as soon as it is ready. But indeed, we have no cav corps anymore. Instead both I and II corps have Cav attached. And the Brunswick and Hanover brigade have some regiments as well.

We simply don't have enough officers to justify a separate Cav Corps.

Oh this is so sad. My beloved Corps sacrificed to the hand of White Hall in the name of reorganization? I must object. My horse and I stand ready to join the formation of a new Cavalry Corps. To think, that one cannot go to war on the back of a horse -- I will petition the King himself. Say it ain't so. I will appeal to the Queen. I once led her Royal Guards. She will hear me out.

Helga, fill my mug with ale. I am off to Buckingham Palace or Westminister -- I will find the Royals and beseach them to outfit a new cavalry corps.

Dear Sir Muddy,

First of all please send a gallant courier to my tent with your latest email address, as I can still not reach your servants. In this way you will not be informed about any changes in the army, attacks by the French or the taste of wine in the mess.

With regards to the cavalry, well, perhaps the Queen will listen to you, but being Sir "Muddy" I am not sure about it. I know where your nickname is coming from and will not repeat it here. Nevertheless a Cav corps will be possible again in the future, as soon as our ranks are filled with fresh young troops. The recruitment campaign is about to start. With greetings,[:D]

Just a thought regarding "urgent reminders", "reply immediately", two-day deadlines &c. ... a guy can be on vacation for some weeks. With things moving at this pace, he might well see his command gone before he had a chance to find out! Is the infernal hurry really necessary? [}:)]
