BATTLE OF BORODINO, THE: Napoleon Against Kutuzov by Alexander Mikaberidze.

Has anyone read this book yet? A couple of reviewers at Amazon have high marks for it.

I was lucky enough to receive an autographed copy. My good friend, Mike Hopper, also assisted in editing this book. I can highly recommend this new study. Alexander Mikaberidze not only provides new insights to the campaign and battle, but has done a wonderful job of incorporating Russian primary sources. If you would like more detailed information, please email me. Bill

Thanks guys! I will see about getting a copy.

Borodino is still the grandest battle of the war for me. Despite not being as large as Wagram or Leipzig its one of the most memorable for its drama.

Sounds like an interesting book. I am about 50 pages past Borodino in War and Peace (reading it has been a 4 year adventure and I recently started it again. I like it a lot but when I read it too fast I miss the richness of detail and some of the irony).

I enjoy the HPS version of the battle because it goes so many different ways each time I play it. Been a few years, so I may have to find a battle soon.
