After a long development cycle and a sequence of delays, Battlefront has rather quickly shut down any mention on its website of HistWar: Les Grognards.

Little is known at the moment save that the developer has posted a notice that its involvement with the project is at an end. Even the forum has been shut down.

JMM, alternatively, has been quoted saying the manual will be ready for review in November, a demo shortly thereafter, and the game before Christmas. How he will distribute remains unclear.

I, for one, wish him the best.

Welcome to the world of pre-release madness.

This is why I enjoy HPS. You dont know what is coming out, we dont get bombarded with emails and threads wondering when a game will be done.

We had one project (non-Tiller) that had issues. But its doing nicely now.

All of this pre-release discussion gets old. Reminds me of the days of Talonsoft saying they were putting out an Ironclads game.

BUT OF COURSE! [:p]

No really, I am hoping to see Panzer Campaigns Tunisia come out. Someday. But other things are welcome too! [:D]

I remember when work was started on Dien Bien Phu - 2005 Tiller Con I I first heard of it. We didn't talk it up on the boards. The original developer stopped work on it and another finished it up.

If we had discussed it then it would have kept people guessing and bothering Rich H. about it.

I prefer the sneak attack method better![:p]

Yep, Scott's policy of no public announcements prior to release is a good one. [8D]

BTW, I think tomorrow is the first friday of the month... [:p][:D]
