Hi Bill ... Congrats on the new game. I'm wondering if you could share how the AI is in this new title, specifically as it pertains to solo play. I don't play by e-mail anymore.

Thanks in advance.

Provided the player uses a Napoleonic deployment and doesn't exploit the AI weaknesses, we had good games against the AI.

I built in several scripts for the side that the AI plays. Thus it will not alway use the same strategy each time.

There were times when the AI would not attack me (as the defender) but when John Tiller checked it then it worked fine. Kind of left me puzzled at times.

No, its not a 10 out of 10 in this dept. But if the player doesn't use blitzkrieg tactics and deploys his units in Napoleonic fashion an enjoyable game can be had.

As a matter of fact once I realized this in testing my games were actually rather interesting as I was no longer attempting to swamp the AI with troops but committing troops based on existing doctrine per the period. (a brigade or two at a time instead of the entire army)

Hi Bill

Thanks for the timely response. I plan to order the game later today. If it's as good as the Jena title it will be money well spent.

Regards, C.
