Post subject:  Austerlitz - Russian Musket Ratings

I noted that some of the OBs differ where it regards Russian infantry weapons.

In some of the OBs I used the usual "M" weapon type for musket. In others I used "T" which has less fire value. This is because from all that I have read the Russians were not as good as their European opponents.

I am updating the OBs but to avoid confusion in your games I will not release these until we have an OFFICIAL update.

I saved them to a separate folder on my hard drive so that my games are not altered by these files.

Nothing in the small update I released will alter your games if you use them or not (other than that one British battery weapon change).

Using the update will not bring a call that you cheated in other words.

But these OBs will wait for the update. Just know that the Russians will fire better in some of your games (such as Durenstein and any that used the 1805.oob). The Austerlitz battle scenarios and the Moravian campaign scenarios will all use the "T" rating which is what the rest of them will eventually have.

If you disagree, feel free to copy the OB files, scenarios, then change the OB value in the .scn file to match yours and use your version if you like.

Again, noone will ever totally agree on these games. Such is the case with life too! [:D]

Thanks Ed on behalf of everyone that worked on this one.

The Playtest team and I really talked over the ratings. I hope that you guys enjoy the playing as much as you are enjoying the fact that we have a great campaign to play. The year 1805 really had alot to offer as far as battles goes. And with the addition of the England campaign it should bring enough variety to last ... well until our next one is out! [:p]
