Post subject:  I resign

Mrss

Because real life let me less and less time, because I think that French army need a CIC with more time than I have since one year, I decide to resign from my post of French CIC.
After a quick discussion with Marechal Corbin, we decided that Marechal Jensen will be the new CIC. Chuck is one of my best friend in this club and I 'm sure that he will be a very good CIC.

Before to be place in the inactive reserve, I would like to thank John and Chuck for their help for my dutyes of CIC. I was CIC since 2006 and without them I think that it would be very difficult for me to work for the club.
Playing in this club since 2001, I would like to thanks all the fellow officers who trained me in manoeuver (Tom Simmons for example) and all the allied opponents I fought.
I would like thank also all the french officers that I had the honor to command.
I will finish by a special mention for Bill Peters. He had too much ideas for me but I know that without him, I would never play BG and HPS game during eight years. Special mention also for Jean-Marie Barbier which initiated the Nir Project. He had for me a good thing : he speaks french.

I hope that after a short break, I will recover the taste for our email games.

Vive NWC, Vive le nouveau commandant en Chef de la Grande Armée !

For Maréchal Jensen, Hourrah, hourrah !

Best regards

Your service to La Grande Armee is going to be missed.

A spot is always waiting for you on your return to the colours.

Good luck, stay well and drop in occasionally to say hi.

Yann,

I hope that you will be back amongst us soon. Thank you for the encouragement you gave me when I first took over the III Corps Armee du Nord, it was invaluable. As others have said, you will be sorely missed.

Congratulations to Marechal Jensen on his appointment to CiC, a very dedicated officer indeed and a worthy successor.

In the meantime, we'll keep the fire lit and a spot open for you at the tavern's bar.

Cheers!
