Has anyone ever used or stumbled across this program, 'Screenmonkey'?

It's an online server game usually for RPGs apparently. However I came to it off a kriegspiel site which suggested it was adaptable. It does look like you could use it to run a campaign along quickly to battles..

But everyone has to be online at the same time. And one wonders about sync issues as well.

Looks like alot of work for the GM.

I would much prefer something like "Fight the War" which was held over at the ACWGC. Each battle was custom made based on the player's formations. Very detailed campaign.

I am thinking of running a campaign that uses a dynamic campaign file. I would update it just before the players ended their battle. Thus there would be no need for me to create a full campaign file like I do for the games. It would build upon each successive battle.

I would send the campaign file out to each player (the .cpd) just before they end their battle. Thus I would build the Branches as the campaign progresses.

Finally, there would be a Terminal branch at the end showing the overall results.

This has never been done to my knowledge and frankly its a great way to fight a campaign.

I would add in logistics branches for each player (where they want to reroute their supply lines, march their replacements, etc).

The potential for a nice campaign is endless using this format.

Since we have a nice set of maps already its a real possibility to recreate battles all over Europe. Well we are missing some places but you get the idea.
