The deadline for the conclusion of the 100 Days Tournament was the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve. There are a few matches that did not have a result at the deadline, but there are enough results from the 26 matches to determine the winner. That is, the unresolved battles would not affect the outcome. The Winner of the tournament and recipient of the title of Champion of the 100 Days Campaign is the French Army. All French Army participants are entitled to that designation. Our Congratulations to all of the French Armee Officers who participated in the campaign. Lieutenant General Bijl and I agreed upon awarding all participants the 100 Days Tournament Medal. Since, in war, not just the winners, but also those who fall in defense of their cause are honored, this medal is awarded to all participants, whether winning or losing the match, Prussian, Anglo-Allied, and French. This medal can be displayed by all participants who received my email. My thanks to all of you who made this tournament not only successful, but manageable. Thank you for your cooperation. The response to this tournament in June was amazing. We had 25 single matches and 1 multiplayer match. At that time the Prussian Army was called in and the Prussians and Anglo Allied army were able to cover all of the French who volunteered. My hat is off to Lt. Gen. Bijl and Field Marshall Reuter for fielding a matching army. There were a few lessons learned in running the tournament. The mirror matches were good, but those that were played simultaneously had more definite results by the deadline. The ones played consecutively had one good result, but, in many cases, not a clear or fair result for the second; most of these were counted as draws. Mirror matches with a deadline should be played simultaneously. All of the results posted on the website and announced are for tournament purposes only. If your battle was not concluded, there is no reason why you cannot continue. I salute all participants, friends and honored opponents.
