Apologies if you have seen this elsewhere....

You do need to register, but there are quite a few HPS games in 2009. (Including Austerlitz.)

It would be great for HPS/John Tiller if he could win one of those! Always a shot in the arm for sales and it would turn people on to the games too!

Thanks for the link Mike![8D]

Bill -

You have to be logged in when you vote.

Once you are logged in, you can go back and change your vote as you please until the voting deadline passes.

So you should be able to log on and see if it recorded your vote. (And if not, re enter them.)

I would like to nominate JT for a Clauswitz for lifetime achievement. (When you consider all the games/engines going back to the Talonsoft games.... a far bigger contribution than some of the other nominees. ) This year though is really John Butterfield's year with 2 solo wargames out (DDay Omaha and the rework of RAF). In addition to his history.

May have to mount a full campaign next year....

Campaign Austerlitz and Musket & Pike Renaissance both qualified as top 5 vote getters in the balloting. Winner announced in a few weeks, I think at the WBC.

[:D][:D][:D] Congrats you John Tiller if in fact he won a Charlie for Austerlitz! Glad to be a part of it. Way to go Mark Adams and Joe Amoral too! And all of the guys that helped out.

And Musket and Pike broke new ground too. Hope that it wins if Austerlitz doesn't. This is NICE to hear.

BTW - I never could get my ballot to cast. Really sorry too as of course I voted for ... er, well you can guess! [:D][;)] Oh yeah and M&P too!

Boardgame companies definitely promote the fact that they get the nomination nod. Of course if they win they break out the trumpets. May have to get Steve to add banners or a badge on the SDC...

Nominations are worth a banner too (at least in the board game world). The number of titles is high and the competition stiff, so....

Here is a list of the finalists in all categories:

http://www.alanemrich.com/CSR_pages/voting.php

Note: Alan Emerich is someone I have known since I started wargaming. He was in our game club but went off to be more or less a convention guy and write articles for several wargaming mags. Its always good to see an old name associated with something like this.

Alan now heads up a game company that puts helps designers get their product to market. He has a school that trains them how to market, design, develop and know how to coordinate the graphics of the wargame product.

No, I cant slip him a 20 to help our games win! LOL
