The gates are now open. Below are my two comments that may be helpful:

By the way, you don't need to ask for the initial password if you have lost the email containing it. Just try to log in to the site using proper email and any password and the system will offer you a chance to reset your password. Check for your inbox for an email with a link to confirm password reset. Once you will click that link, another email will come with a new password.

In case you will be using a browser other than Firefox or Chrome, a warning will appear that will advise you to install one of those browsers. I just can't make IE and Opera work well with the scripts used. Maybe in the future I will rewrite that part of the system so it will support those browsers. Currently, the page works best in Firefox and Chrome.

Good luck! I hope you will not encounter a lot of bugs.

Thanks for all the hard work. It looks really impressive.[8D] By the way it seems to work ok with IE8 for me.

But I have a question. How do we enter campaign games? Are the linked campaign scenarios listed? I was trying to enter the first battle of a Napoleon in Italy Campaign (from the Austerlitz game). The campaign battle is Caldiero, but the only Caldiero battles I can see are the stand-alone non-campaign versions...

I can't get the thing to work in either IE or Mozilla. Let's me put in the scenario, when I add the names and hit Apply it gives me a Failed to Update error. Don't know if it's me or the system.

OK found out what I was doing wrong, seems you have to hit the Add button after selecting the names, wasn't doing that, worked ok. I understand they will be adding instructions for us dummies.

Anthony - IE8 works in 80%, I believe you can't scroll by mouse wheel on the list, while in FF you can. But at least it works via the scroll bar, so I guess it may be sufficient for some.

As for the campaign games, we decided not to include them in detail, as the game will not tell you which scenario file you are playing exactly (and the scenario titles are not saying much in most HPS games) so you won't be able to specify it correctly but just have to guess. Please use the scenario called "Campaign Scenario" which is provided for every HPS game and put any specific scenario info you want into the comments (if you wish).

krmiller - You have to click an item on the list, typing is not enough, it doesn't count as selection. So the step 1 is to click mouse on game type, wait for the list to show up, click proper game type (for example "Maneuver") so it will be put into the text field. Then click on the second field with scenario name, wait for the list to show up, click proper scenario (to shorten the list you may type some part of scenario name, game name, file name) so it will be put into the text field, then click apply.

One more hint: check your SPAM folders and (if possible) add napoleonic.wargames.club@gmail.com to white-list. Otherwise you may not get info about games awaiting confirmation or password reset emails.

Just fantastic ! I cannot imagine all the work that went into this.

Registered a couple of games and changed my pw this am using IE7 without any issue at all.

Strongly suggest you have the exact scenario name on hand before you start. You just begin typing in the name and the drop down list shortens very quickly so that you can choose your game.

Helga, time to open that case of Le Courvoisier for Domenik and John and everyone involved. Keep it safe for their enjoyment anytime !

Thanks Dominic. OK I have located the generic Campaign scenario for the Austerlitz game and have registered the game, with the details of the campaign battle added to the comments field. the system works great so far. Thank you!

By the way, FYI, I use IE8 and CAN scroll the scenario list with the mouse wheel (Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000). It all seems good to me so far[8D]

This is a known issue with IE7. If yo know the exact scenario name, type it in the box and notice the list of scenarios gets shorter until you see what you want.

Select that scenario from the list with your mouse.

If you are able/willing, you could install Fire Fox.

I see thank you, it works if i use mouse wheel instead of the arrow.

I couldnt see Histwar scenarios on the list, is there a specific format-number to type HW games in the box or do we just write Custom scenario ?

Not having Histwar myself, I am unsure how the scenarios are listed

Gentleman, below are the default maps of histwar game:
Austerlitz, Borodino, Eylau, Friedland, GrandChamp, Hanau, Haslach, Histwar, la Rothiere, LaBerezina, MapTuto1, Montebello, Ratisbonne, Wagram

...but people make their own maps and these can be played by email without any problem. So having only 1 Histwar title in the list and writing the "scenario name" in the box beside Histwar maybe more functional, up to you course [;)]
