Turn 16 of 40 Report Mark Nelms and I are a well into our first battle of the Operation Eagle campaign. He chose to fall back from the beaches and I chose to land at Folkestone. Thus the battle is near Canterbury. Mark is holding a prominent hill feature on the road to the great cathedral town. He has spread out some forces to guard his flanks. Meanwhile, Napoleon has pressed Lannes to engage the enemy! Soult's forces moved forward and are just now beginning to make their presence felt! It must be noted that our grand French "toy soldier" army is facing up VERY well in the face of the supposed superior British musketry. Despite some serious losses we are dealing out our own brand of death and destruction. Gun batteries continue to harass the front line units and our infantry in line are now starting to deal out some serious losses. I predict that Mark has about ten more turns left on the hill ...
