I have read the FAQ but cannot see the problem with my profile signature

It seems that tags like <center> and </center> are not allowed or am I wrong?

Ok - you must disable BBcode in order to get your pictures to show up. Here is how you do it:

While logged into forum:
1. Click on User Control Panel link found just below the forum graphic in upper left corner.
2. Click on the Profile tab.
3. Click on Edit Signature on the left.
4. Under Options click on the block next to Disable BBCode
5. Click on Submit at bottom of sheet.
6. Come back to the forum and your pictures now show up.

ALOT of these kinds of instructions need to be given to us admins too. It would really help for those of us managing these forums who did not get a programmer's degree! :D

I can only imagine how some of you guys are going to do this that cant burn files to a CD rom disk (no insult intended - you can probably tear about the engine on a '67 Nova, something that I could try and do and probably utterly fail at unless I had help too). :D

But ... could some of you admins out there please post helpful tips on how to use these forums once you get time. There are features even in the User Control Panel that would be nice to know more about. There should be some warnings too about which ones NOT to use! 8)

I don't think the center or left/right justification are functional on this board....

Rich - you need to turn off the BBCode. See above instructions on how to do that. I hope that they will do that "forum-wide" so that each of us does not have to do that ...

BBCode disable box is checked, yet image still doesn't display...not a huge deal, but odd...

It is not necessarily the BB code.

For your link, remove the old IMG code, highlight the URL, then select IMG from the right.

That should make the IMAGE work.

Been there, done that. :) My buttons are at the top of the profile screen though.

Selected the URL & cut it, removed the old img brakets. Hit the IMG button & pasted the URL inbetween the new anchors. No go.

Right, the choices are on the top.

On the right side of the profile signature, is IMG turned ON?

Post subject:  Re: Profile sigantures

Yes, IMG is on - when I de-select the option to disable the image shows up - but now John's doesn't.

Don't let me derail you from more important things, this is not a big deal at all...
