Hi

My PC seems to be acting up. Most likely have to go intop the shop.

Bootying up gives me an error message:

USB Device over Current Status

I have absolutely no idea what this is telling me.

Not many good answers to this one:

If this does not help, GOOGLE "USB Device over Current Status" and check out some of the answers. Many do not seem to help or solve the problem, but many answers SEEM to point to a mother board problem with some ASUS MB's.

Some suggestions: Unplug one USB device at a time and reboot, see if a particular port on the board is malfunctioning, this does happen and is possible. Try unplugging all of them too, if you can.

Other things you can do:

Make sure BIOS has latest update, it was easy on my Asus board.
Update chipset drivers(easy and important)

Before you take it in for someone to repair which can be expensive email the manufacturer or find the website and see if they have a message board to make sure it isn't something they can help you with before you pay the cost of repairs.

Horse back in the stable..

I had tried all the plugging and un-plugging stuff before I went to the shop.

Trouble turned ot to be a daaged USB port on the front of my case. Had it disbaled and I am good to go. Will catchup on emails etc as soon as possible
