Hi,

ANYONE from the game Registration web page team.

Every time I go to try and register a game I fail to log in and have to apply to re-set my paassword!
Then trying to get the fields to acccept the games and players is a 50/50 successes rate at the best of times!
Now I cannot even get a game registered at all even though the game and each player is on the windows that pop up!

Each time I try to enter one it comes back as a fail.

I have tried to enter after each field.
I have tried to enter all feilds then hit the spply/add buttons!

I am in need of some advice as to how to correctly enetr a game registration ie a step by step instruction would be of assistance.

I have managed to get a couple of games registered previously with the same issues but now nothing seems to work!

Quickly getting fed up with even trying to register a game and so ask the opponent to do it!

Instead of being 'Oh so techo smart' a SIMPLE one page form to fill out and hit ONE submit button would seem to cover all the bases in regards to the KISS principle (Keep It Simply Stupid).

I for one have no problems typing in both names and a battle!

Technology is a wonderful thing for the person who invents it until it fails and then everyone else has no idea what to do!

Game Data must be entered in stages and you must use the mouse to select the data from the drop down list.

Stage 1

A - Type of Battle

Select the type of battle by putting your mouse pointer in the BOX and clicking on the mouse button to get a drop down list.

Use the mouse pointer to highlight your choice and click the mouse button.

B - Scenario

In the Scenario box, start typing in the Game title as in Campiagn Waterloo. Notice that as you type the listing of scenario choices gets narrowed down. From here you can use the scroll bar to scroll to the scenario you want and using the mouse pointer you select it and click the mouse button to populate the box.

NOW HIT THE APPLY BUTTON next to the scenario box.

Stage 2

Add Players - Each player must be aded individually and the APPLY button must be hit after you populate the player name box.

The Mouse must ne used. You cannot just type stuff in and hit enter.

Striking that balance is always hard....on one hand there is always a shortage of webmasters and doing the forms longhanded can lead to backlogs & burnouts, trust me I KNOW! :? But on the other hand a system that is complex can be an issue too in terms of preservation of the data. Further complicating the issue is if only one person knows how to maintain it, if something happens to that person than you are in trouble.....so it is never an easy issue sadly...

And if you select Fight when both players are on the same side, there is no indication of what is wrong, only a "Failed to Update" message...
