I know it was asked and answered long ago, but how do I enter a pic into my signature? I use the same code as on the old forum, but it gives back the string as in my signature right now, not the picture itself as it should. Interstingly the same string inserted into the post is well reproduced:Image

Any help is appreciated!

Anton,

When you edit your signature in your profile, is the Disable BBCode box checked? That might be why the code shows the image in the posting but not in the signature.

I would like someone to explain to a complete idiot like me how you add pictures to your signature and maybe some suggestions on sites where I can get some cool pictures Of French Chasseurs a' cheval. Thanks

How to ADD an image to your signature:
Adding an image.
To add an image the file must be saved on an accessible site such as a personal website location or some other site that permits remote loading of the file. Once the file is stored somewhere you can add the following line to your signature.
[img]url[/img]
Where url is the web location of the file, for example my brigade flag is located at
"http://home.net~army/images/colors/image_sm.gif "
Note - " " were used to keep the forum from showing the url as a link and compressing the information, do not use them between the img statements.
Once again you can use the Preview button to check on the appearance of your image and the Submit button to save it.
