Congratulations are in order! Our fine Hanoverian Brigade has drawn the first French blood in the NWC Tournament this year. Registering two Major Victories over our valiant opponents, we are leading the Allied Army in the fray. We have pointed our Army along the path to victory. Our Brigade is currently the pride of the Allied cause. Bear your colors proudly gentlemen, for the eyes of the Allied Army are upon us!

A toast to the fine, although admittedly few, officers of the Hanoverian Brigade!

The door swings open as KGL Captain enters the tavern. Though his coat is muddy and torn, there seems to be a contented look in his eyes as he scans the crowded bar. Closing the door carefully behind him, the Captain sees a Hanoverian Major rise from a nearby table and beckon to him.

"Captain Dewar", says the Major, "we have been waiting for your return from the field of battle. Please do join Majoor Roggeveen, Ensign Phillips and me for a drink. We wanted to be among the first to congratulate you on your recent victories for the Allied cause. What will you have sir? The first one is on me."

Yes, the Hanover Brigade..they were much the talk of the Parisians as I overheard panicked discussions while circumnavigating the usurpur's den of iniquity on a reconnaissance mission for Major Jones. Well done sir!!

Rather sad you Hanoverians fight for a side only interested in supporting the merchants of London. As for defeating one of our officers I shall do my best to correct that vs your capable commander.

Alas, Ensign Reed, it is true that GdB Knox has set his sights on my demise. Even when I wore the green jacket that you now sport, the good general swore to cut my Lieutenant's epilates from it using my own sword. My subsequent promotion to the rank of Major has only served to increase his resolve.

GdB Knox and I have been locked in battle for some time now. He is probably the greatest tactician in La Grande Armee. I consider it the highest of honors to cross swords with so fine a gentleman officer. Generaal Moss has suggested that I offer GdB Knox a posting in our fine brigade, but unfortunately our roster is currently full. Should he be so inclined as to accept, however, I feel relatively certain that Lt. Generaal Bijl would be ameanable to expanding our Order of Battle to accomodate his commission in our brigade. :P

Yes, why fight for the merchants of London when you can sign up to fight for the Butcher of Paris!

Sounds like a no brainer to me to be part of the glorious Allied cause.

A courier enters the tavern, quickly scans the room and walks over to a table where several Hanoverian officers are seated. "Excuse me sirs, but I am looking for the commander of the Hanoverian brigade, Major Jones." "That would be me", says a red coated Major as he sets his glass upon the table and turns to face the young courier. "Sir, I have a message for you from the front lines", says the young courier as he hands the Major a folded note.

Taking the note, the Major returns the courier's salute and dismisses him to tend to his other duties. The Major carefully unfolds the note and reads its contents. With a broad grin, he refolds the message and places it in his pocket.

Grinning even broader, he retrieves his glass, stands up and announces to the assembled mass, "Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that I announce to you that our fine Hanoverians have just registered two more Major Victories over our French opponents in this year's tournament! Helga, a round of drinks for the house. The Hanoverians will buy this one for all. Gentlemen, a toast to our fine Hanoverian Brigade!"
