| Post subject: | The Hanoverian Ensign Clawson is Buying Today! |
Gentlemen Officers: Please take a moment from your momentous conflicts to help me welcome our newest officer, Ensign Scott "Cats" Clawson, or perhaps that is Scott "The Rat" Clawson, to the command of the Field Battalion Verden in our fine Hanoverian Brigade!  Although he is currently lost in the reverie of his past, the bar tab from the celebration of our drunken mass should rightly gain his attention later this evening. I just hope the poor, old veteran can stand the shock!

Never one to shy away from draining the purse of an adversary, the French Marechal calmly orders his usual cask of ale and raises the accompanying pint glass, newly filled of course, in a toast. "Welcome, sir, may your credit never run dry and may the eagles always soar victorious over your broken army. Cheers!" As he moves to his accustomed seat by the fire next to Marechal Corbin, and eyes the mountain of paperwork that must be pushed aside in order to make space for the aforementioned cask, the grognard motions privately to Helga. She steps over to him, and he whispers quietly, "Helga, I have been coming to this fine establishment for years and in that time, I have seen mud, perfume, various forms of foppery, odd concoctions and been subjected to a great deal of hot (Prussian) air. But, I dare say, the tavern of late seems to be a tad bit overrun by vermin, ahem, I mean Hanoverians. Knowing that they fall in battle (or run in terror, either way the end is the same) at a vastly higher rate than even the normal run of the mill vanquished coalition partners, perhaps extending credit to them may not be the wisest course of action for an intelligent entrepreneur (note the French root of the word), such as yourself."
