The best uniforms
The best players
The best leader - Our beloved Tondu undefeated Master of War (It's 1809 isn't it?)
The best wine and food

And of course there are the French ladies, and joining France will mean you will join the ranks of the best lovers :mrgreen:

You can see the line of recruits appearing in in this Tavern why not join them!

The best uniforms - I rather like the red coat. Not worth a damn for camouflage, but hey, it is certainly eye catching.
The best players - Cannot say for sure as your French Battle Records (in general) still remain hidden from the world.
The best leader - Our beloved Tondu undefeated Master of War (It's 1809 isn't it?) - As I am a Hanoverian, it cannot be any sooner than 1813 in my world. Face it, you are in denial.
The best wine and food - I might grudgingly have to concede this one.

And of course there are the French ladies, and joining France will mean you will join the ranks of the best lovers - Hmmmm….

You can see the line of recruits appearing in in this Tavern why not join them! – I think what I am actually seeing is a long line of refugees.

You are just lucky that Scott Ludwig is busy petitioning for additional games for the club. Otherwise......I can hear the music now:

Napoleonic Wars, Napoleonic Wars, ah yes, I remember now, they were named for the man that LOST! [Note how the word is rendered in neat, Hanoverian colors. Sehr schön!]

On a massive black charger, Kronprinz Vorwärts busts down the tavern door. Helga doesn't even bother to look up, thinks to herself, "why do we even need a door?" See the tradition that Sir Muddy's horse has started.... :mrgreen:

I heard my name called! Oh and don't you ever, EVER think I am too busy to lay down a few bier drinking songs and place up a few recruiting posters.... :D

But I must go with my Hanoverian brother on all his accounts...over course everyone knows the ladies love black... :shock: :o

But yes "a long line of refugees" is most correct.... :D

Ok off to find more men to join and bash in a few peacock heads! :lol:

"Prince of the Moskowa" - you know this reminds me of the way the British Petroleum hands out bonuses! "Marechal Ney, well done in our latest defeat - here, have a princedom with no land!" "Gee thanks mon Emperor!" as Nappy gallops for Paris and leaves the army in the lurch ...

Yes, seeing is believing. "The Rat" fumbles for his knap and once again digs into the deep recesses of the bag. As he is pulling out yet another item he mumbles,

"Yes, the French offer the best uniforms, the best food and all the best things a soldier needs. Here, look at this rendering of the Monsters newest recruit. Yes he looks like he has the best of everything"

Hey Scott, with a name like "bone-apart" it sort of tells you what to expect from the battles against us Allies! No wonder the men deserted so much in 1813-14. "Not apart again!" was their war cry!

Back to France they ran. :)

General Ludwig burst into the Tavern on his huge horse. Unfortunately due to the disguise his horse was wearing it was hard to tell apart from Muddy's smaller but valiant horse

Once he had knocked the French wine flying to the disgust of General Knox, he dismounted and headed for the bar. Removing his hat he revealed the latest in Prussian hair styles.
