The old man sat in the corner of the decaying tavern. What fond memories this place had brought him over the years. But now with time passing, alas no Helga or Heidi, only fading memories of happier times. As he sat there, he remembered this day, April 11 many years back. A day that the monster had given up his throne and took a vacation on Elba. It was long ago but seemed like yesterday. Oh how many soldiers have passed through the door of this tavern. Differences were put aside, and drinks exchanged. How the peacocks had strutted around and tried to prove how magnificent their leader was. Ah, but now with years passed, the monster had met his defeat. With that, the old man arose, and reached into his bottomless knap. As he walked out the door into the spring air, he stuck this on the door for all to see.

But ensign it's 1809 the Empire of France is at it's Zenith and our beloved Tondu is the contemporary sun god for all to review, histories greatest soldier.

What is this negative speculation of the future? Surely you don't imagine the magnficient empire of equality we have created will be bribed out of existence by the perfidous Albion. I for one hope not.

That is a very nice rendering, Ensign Clawson of a great tyrant, riding a docile donkey (backwards of course) with a magnificently broken sword. Well, at least he still has a couple of drummers to play for him. I suppose his charisma is not totally diminished.

You must forgive the poor French General. His mind is so beguiled by the Corsican Despot that it will not allow him to admit the enevitable progress of time. Still, his sword is so very sharp, as to which both you and I can personally attest, it is a shame that we have been unable to sway his unfaltering allegiance. He would make a fine Hanoverian, once we taught him how to speak German of course. :P

Sir I would fall on my own sword before betraying the cause of liberty and equality in exchange for the gold of the corrupt merchants and slave traders of London.

I believe it is Hanover that is in need of freedom from the despots of economic tyranny.
