König Friedrich Wilhelm III stands with Scharnhorst & Prime Minister Hardenberg in the Schloss Charlottenburg just then The Great Generalfeldmarschall Stefan GroßPrinz Reuter von Wahlstadt (Oberbefehlshaber der Preußischen Armee) and General der Infanterie Scott Kronprinz "Vorwärts" Ludvig von Preußen (Generalquartiermeister der Preußischen Armee) come walking into the König's private office. Kronprinz Ludvig states as the König looks up from his desk. "The news of the bounties has reached all ends of the Königreich. No French Maréchal shall be safe! The rewards for at least 26 French officers, including the notorious "Peacock" have been set. We will not rest until they have been humiliated by many defeats at the hands of our men. No Frenchmen will be safe!" The König smiles with great pleasure. Scharnhorst buts in and says, "And we have further issued directly via the König's Edict, any Preußische Armee Offizer who defeats Général de Brigade Colin "the Peacock" Knox shall be awarded one of Preußens Highest Honors:" Pour le Mérite (With Oak Leaves) ![]() Generalfeldmarschall Reuter, the most decorated Prussian Offizer, smiles with amazment and says, "I don't even have the Oak Leaves Pour le Mérite...." Kronprinz Ludvig & Generalfeldmarschall Reuter snap their heels, salute and state "Sehr Gut! Preußens Gloria! Fur Gott under Vaterland!" |

It would seem an obsession with attacking me has developed between Oberst Bill and General Ludwig. Neither of which I suspect will cause me much trouble to despatch. However Bill your rank and victory ratio does not really justify you being added to my victim list so I have decided to abstain from playing you for now. In order to earn the right to tackle me you must A. Gain a higher rank and B. Win more games This is not arrogance on my part (oh ok perhaps it is but hey I'm French ![]() Bill I do however respect greatly your work for HPS. I salute you sir. In the meantime I suggest if you care to insult me you should back it up by beating most of the best French officers and hardly losing a game and then I will be forced to meet you in the field of honour. Now on a seperate subject I look forward to Marechal Bardon's invetitable gloating (albeit in his educated manner) after he despatches mad prince Ludwig. ![]() ![]() |

![]() Meanwhile, I played top names like our latest Master of Europe and Paco and Tomasz and other French players none of which have put me aside at all. And I imagine that once I get around to challenging them again they will be happy to pick up a game with such a low-lifer as me. Toodles sir. ![]() PS: also played some great board game players too - some of the top guys as far as I am concerned some of which are seen in design credits for games. Always glad to give "Barrio-Bill" (as you more or less rate me) a game. |

Bill I don't consider you a low lifer at all I have the greatest respect for you and the work you do You have my best wishes. Just because I choose not to play you does not belittle either of us. PS There are many great players in this club and I for one would not claim to be the best I believe Jeka or Konstantin Koryakov hold that title. My style in this forum is to be the confident cocky French persona. Perhaps I over did it, nothing personal meant in it you have my unreserved apology. Those who play me will attest I am a gentlemen. |
