Prime Minister Hardenberg and Scharnhorst stood behind them.
Kronprinz Ludvig stepped forward to the crowd of thousands, with the foreign ministers of Russia, Austria & the Netherlands, Belgium, Nassau, Brunswick, Hanover & Britain at the front. He spoke in a booming, Teutonic voice.....
.....Any Allied Coalition Officer, from this day forward, who defeats a French Maréchal, Général or Général de Division, Général de Brigade in battle, while defending Prussia, shall be awarded the:
Alliierten Koalition Verteidigung Medaille I. Klasse:
(Allied Coalition Defense Medal 1st Class)
This is to recognize that they have led Prussian Armee forces in to battle & have led them to victory!
