Post subject:  Script for Casualties
Does anyone here know how to build a script that would sum up the OB file strength values by army?

Here is what I am after:

A script that would:

1. Display the info by army, then by infantry, cavalry, guns.

2. It must know to stop when it gets to each army header (French, Austrian, Russian).

3. I can add up the numbers for each Allied army into one sum or the script could do that. Not necessary that the script does this.

Layout of data:

French:<name of army>
Infantry: 51300
Cavalry: 5118
Guns: 78

Austrian:<name of army>
Infantry: 14004
Cavalry: 3401
Guns: 32

Austrian:<name of army>
Infantry: 21000
Cavalry: 5600
Guns: 50

Russian:<name of army>
Infantry: 8231
Cavalry: 2600
Guns: 36

Adding up the values for me would be nice of course but the idea that they are split is not bad as you can quickly look at the nations that way and figure out how much they have.

The script would have to consider the U tag for the unit line. It would also have to know when to start and stop counting for each nation. "French A" "Austrian A" and so on would have to be part of the script start calc/stop calc process. Basically they would be end posts in the formula.
