My Fellow Officers, I suppose that I cannot continue to deny my advancing age any longer. In reviewing my maps recently, I discovered that I was having a most difficult time discerning the path of the main roads when viewing the map from a distance. Since my men almost universally grumble when I lead them through thickets, woods and streams, particularly when they can clearly see an adjacent road leading in the same direction, one of my good officers decided it was time to take a more positive action to redress my malady of vision. Lieutenant Clawson was kind enough to modify some of the graphics files to ease my viewing of roads in the 2D Zoom Out View. I have attached the files to this post so that all other officers might find the roads a bit easier to follow. ![]() As I recall, it was Lieutenant Clawson who tripped over a root, tumbled down an embankment and into the nearby creek during the last outing which I led. Some might say that he modified these files out of self preservation. I tend to believe that he did it simply for the glory of our fine brigade and the loyalty he has to its sometimes bumbling commander. Whatever the reason, I find these files to be helpful and wanted to offer them to you in case you thought the same. Please be sure to congratulate Lieutenant Clawson on his fine work if you find these files helpful as well. ![]() Oh, one last thing, I have been told that these files make the roads on French maps disappear entirely. I would encourage all of you Officers of France to use these files profusely. ![]() |

![]() The 5th Dragoons went on an outing with Mark and we ended up in some marsh in Denmark. ![]() I will try these out Mark and Scott. Thank you both much. Oh yes, and Mark forgot to mention, the files go in the Map folder. ![]() |
