Post subject:  NWC President Elections

I am kicking things off early this year as I will be on vacation for the entire month of August and my internet connection will be spotty at best.

I should also say that I will not be running again this time as my priorities are shifting slightly.

The Nomination period will start Monday July 11, 2011 and Run until August 11, 2011. If you wish to nominate someone, please make sure that the person you are nominating is aware and agrees to it. Make your nominations known to Cabinet members.

Campaigning, if required, will start August 12, 2011. Each Candidate will post a campaign announcement outlining his thoughts and plans. Campaigning will last till August 26 and Voting will start on Sept 1, 2011. Instructions for voting will be made known later.

Thank you, John, for everything you have done for us over the years. You are the only Club President I have ever known in my tenure here and you have done such a marvelous job. I am so very sorry to hear that you are stepping down, but certainly wish you the very best. I hope this means that you will get to spend more time playing games and less time doing paperwork. Also that you will still have time to help keep me straight in the Rhine Tavern. (But really, not so much free time that you can really focus on beating up on me in our Waterloo-Wavre game I hope.)

Thanks again, John! We really do appreciate everything you have done for our club. We really do appreciate you!

Sir,

Thanks for allowing a rodent to be part of the club. Your leadership was and is very evident in the fine running of the club. Enjoy your time.

Also, now would be the time to request a transfer to the Allied side. I am sure we can find a spot for you..............

My best,

Just to be clear.... As the allied rabble seem to have ther hearts set on me joining them

I will remain as part of La Grande Armee and Chief of Staff as long as the CinC of the army needs/wants me

John,

I add my thanks to the many who appreciate the time and effort you put in on behalf of the club.

Glad to hear that you will continue in your role as Marechal Berthier of La Grande Armee. Without your help, I fear we would be headed for our Waterloo.

Chuck

Hey, Scott, I think senior command is looking in your direction again. OK, I will float you another loan, but you are soon going to have to get out there and relieve a few more Frenchmen of thier purses if our brigade is to continue funding the drinking obligations of our entire, senior command. Yes, I will be glad to give you another raise......just as soon as you make Captain. :D :P

Of course, retrieving my lost sword from General Knox's cache would work as well. :o

The Hanoverian Lieutenant Colonel silently glares at his rodent Lieutenant.

After a few moments of uncomfortable silence, The Rat throws up his hands and says, "What? I can't help it if I have a lot of friends."

The Lieutenant Colonel contiunues to glare as he empties the contents of his own purse into the outstrecthed hand of his most popular subordinate. "You keep this up and our entire brigade is going to be forced to march on Paris and liberate the Emperor's private coffers to pay this bill."

Lieutenant General Bijl quietly sits in a remote corner of the tavern watching the whole affair, the corners of his mouth turning up in a smile as he enjoys his ale and thinks to himself, One must always find new ways to give our men the proper incentive to propel themselves to perform glorious deeds. Being temporarily destitute might have its advantages.....
