OK,

I am training a new recruit using the MATRIX version of the game. My version shows v2.01 and his shows v1.01. This is the overall package with all JT's old Talonsoft games in one package.

The MATRIX website shows ONLY one patch for this series, up to v1.01.

Any other MATRIX player around? If so, please let me know what your version is.

Or if there is another answer to this problem. (Not just delete files pbemail.xxx and .yyy)

Thanks. :?: :?: :?:

Odd.. I have version 2.0 showing up when I look at the About thing under help and yet there is only a 1.01 update on the site

Have you tried deleting the pbem xxx and yyy files?

Seriously. I have Matrix and it's version 2.0 as John says. The game comes fully patched and working, and I'm baffled as to why they should put an older version of the patch on their website. It's possible your trainee downloaded and installed that patch on top of what was already a working game.

Well, we got a game going, so all is working now.

MATRIX support was, well, NOT supportive. :P They gave no explanation about the discrepancy of the version numbers nor why the patch they have says v1.01.

My game game straight out of the package, so maybe they have been selling different versions, at one time or another.

If you delete the temp files your false teeth will fall out. Best to make sure you have your Polygrip in place first before doing that! (love that comment Andy!) :P
