Our armies were the most valiant during the fight to rid Europe of Napoleon! While Russians pined to go home to "Mommy-Russia" we were for fighting on! Only the Tsar Alexander stood the test when quizzed about this. ![]() The Austrians were too busy making sausages. ![]() Only our best diplomacy could get them to join the Sixth Coalition. ![]() (from left to right: Prussian, Austrian, Russian) The Anglo-Allies are always too busy trying to make another pound. ![]() Come fight with Prussia! Be a man, not a dog catcher! ![]() |

Bill Delightful cartoons, but such a distorted sense of history. What were the Prussians doing throughout 1805? Oh yes, I remember, they were negotiating for Hanover with Napoleon, behind the backs of their Coalition allies. One always wonders what the outcome of Austerlitz might have been if the Prussians had joined Russia and Austria. Then there were those campaigns in Poland during 1807 when Russia tried to save your King and Queen's throne and honor. A lot of Russians died on the way to Tilsit to give Prussia some breathing space. Then there was 1809 when you bravely mustered a few freikorps to annoy the French while they concentrated on Austria. I seem to recall in 1812, Prussia repaid her loyalty to Russia by joining the French army of invasion. Finally, there were the wars of liberation in 1813 and 1814. It seems that Prussia required considerable assistance from Russia, Austria, Britain, Sweden, Portugal and Spain. Perhaps a piece of humble pie would be in order for dessert. Take care. Bill |

Bill Well considering the Austrians ran at Austerlitz & the Russian Czar refused to function that day, it was probably best that we stayed out. Besides where was the Russians in 1806? 1812 Prussia was forced to send troops to Nappy's Army, but be damned if after his fall in Russia our forces were the first to rise up over the French yoke and those forces were wisely neutralized, as the whole time Prussia had been planning revenge on France, building a force of men & material. Who were the generals that defeated Nappy at every major step in 1813/14, Prussian ones. Austria stood by until it was clear the Allies would win. Prussian troops were the first in Leipzig, Blucher pressed the rulers to go in France. Then crowned it all at Waterloo..... ![]() |

And all of this shows precisely why Russia should leave the coalition for good as they did at Tilsit make peace with Tondu and then divide Europe up between us. Indeed I propose we restructure the club with the French and Russian armies on one side and the rest of the in fighting coalition on the other ![]() |

General Knox The real lesson of Tilist was that the word of Tondu was worthless, as evidenced by the French invasion of 1812. At any rate, the Coalition's occupation of Paris in 1814 was much more enjoyable and civilized than Napoleon's occupation of Moscow. Clearly our coalition allies are more steadfast than France. How does the phrase go, "He who laughs last, ...". |

I am sorry sir it is 1809 my Emperor is at the Zenith of his power and we are peace with Russia. Are you talking of the future sir? If so I doubt that will come true. |

The poor, French General lives in denial. He is still confused by my attitude towards his beloved Emperor and the fact that my uniform is no longer white. Although living in an obviously delusional state, he does remain perhaps the most fearsome officer in Le Tondu's command. One must only look at the hefty bounty our Prussian ally has placed upon his very head. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yes, a good one, Al! ![]() ![]() ![]() Where are all of the fine, Russian trappings to your signature? Haven't you strapped on that heavy piece of metal you must carry now for all eternity? (Wasn't that a scene in Dante's Inferno?) I'll bet that dang thing gets cold in the Russian winter. Brrrrrr! Just be sure not to touch it with wet hands or, heaven forbid, put your tongue on it. You couldn't possibly get free until spring. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

What! Not official! Why that means there still might be time to subvert you to the Hanoverians. I shall start sending rousing Hanoverian songs of victorious battles, standing on my soapbox and loudly proclaiming the virtues of our beloved King, and, of course, having The Rat send you those marvelous pictures of the Hanoverian pinup girls that he has been carefully holding in reserve. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
