König Friedrich Wilhelm III stands with Scharnhorst & Prime Minister Hardenberg in the Schloss Charlottenburg just then The Great Generalfeldmarschall Stefan GroßPrinz Reuter von Wahlstadt (Oberbefehlshaber der Preußischen Armee) and General der Infanterie Scott Kronprinz "Vorwärts" Ludvig von Preußen (Generalquartiermeister der Preußischen Armee) come walking into the König's private office. Kronprinz Ludvig states as the König looks up from his desk. "The news of the bounties has reached all ends of the Königreich. No French Maréchal shall be safe! The rewards for at least 26 French officers, including the notorious "Peacock" have been set. We will not rest until they have been humiliated by many defeats at the hands of our men. No Frenchmen will be safe!" The König smiles with great pleasure. Scharnhorst buts in and says, "And we have further issued directly via the König's Edict, any Allied Coalition Officer who defeats Général Colin "the Peacock" Knox shall be awarded one of Preußens Highest Honors:" Pour le Mérite (With Oak Leaves) ![]() Generalfeldmarschall Reuter, the most decorated Prussian Offizer, smiles with amazment and says, "I don't even have the Oak Leaves Pour le Mérite...." Kronprinz Ludvig & Generalfeldmarschall Reuter snap their heels, salute and state "Sehr Gut! Preußens Gloria! Fur Gott und Vaterland!" |

Oooh, how pretty! That blue, maltese cross would sure go well with my fine, red coat. Hmmm, I wonder. No, I suppose it will have to wait for a bit as I have three registered games and three playtest games currently underway. I would not want to be distracted when facing the Emperor's most feared commander. For now, I need to stay focused on dispatching his boss and his boss's boss. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you, Herr General, for making this fine medal a goal for which to strive. If you would be so kind, please reserve one for me. I am compelled to face the grand, French General again in any case as the gentlemen does currently retain my sword. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Herr General, a most reliable man has informed me that The French Peacock has just drawn his sword upon the great Russian General-Feldmarshal Konstantin Koryakov. The bloodshed will be terrible I expect, as these two immortals move to engage! |

Honestly the award should be to anyone who actually can get a game with him! ![]() Colin is finicky like our Morris the cat. Only likes 9 Lives .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKRGadiN59k (these old commercials are a riot - they were my favorite of the 70s-80s) |

How fitting that one of the highest honors the Prussians can bestow is inscribed in French. ![]() |

Aw, too funny! I had overlooked that. ![]() ![]() ![]() Very observant, Jeff. No wonder you are so dangerous in these games. You rarely miss anything. A most excellent eye for detail! ![]() ![]() ![]() I have long thought that the Pour le Mérite (Blue Max) and the Iron Cross were two of the prettiest medals ever produced by any country in the world. I would have to admit, however, that the attempt to win one of those for my NWC uniform borders on suicide. That is one medal in this club that will be very difficult to put in anyone's trophy case. I would say the same for the medal issued for your defeat as well Marechal Bardon. General Knox and you are two very exceptional, and most honorable officers for whom I hold the very highest level of respect. <Salute> ![]() ![]() ![]() I fear that many a Coalition sword will be surrendered before this shiny new medal is ever claimed. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Gentlemen you do me a honour that I don't really deserve. Marechal Bardon is my c.o. in the guard and a more famous warrior than I as are others such as Marechal Paco and previously my good friend Marechal Nowacki to mention a few. General Peters are you still determined to try and take my sword at Austerlitz (66mvhistorical)? If Konstantin does not accept my challenge I will accept your challenge and we should negotiate rules. My only stipulation is house rules are agreed in advance and not brought in as a debate during a game ![]() Bill whilst you will find my personality role played here sir I assure you I am a gent once battle is joined. ![]() Email me and we can discuss terms. I should hear back from Konstantin tomorrow. His first response was a decline as he is no longer active with HPS Napoleonics! A shame as his fame is well known. Salute! |

Ok you turkeys move along.... ![]() This is a special case for this medal, it is a part of the Armee collection on a regular basis and has normal criteria as well. I made it an alternate awarding too..... Colin raises a good point - maybe I should add Jeff, Paco & Tomasz in??? Well, Jeff for sure I think we shall see....just because he is constantly picking a bone with me.... ![]() |

You should make a strong point of keeping people playing by winning and losing their standards. You would draw more people into the club because you can display the captured stands when you post. Each time a player wins he post the standards on this form and the others will see just who is playing and how well they are playing. I think you can find a site that has these standards, regt or Corps or Brig! You can't display captured swords but you can display standards. |
