Guys - you MUST look over this important document (SSG.pdf in main game folder) that is a Bonus Item that I added into the Leipzig game. It will help you locate a battle you want to play and each page of the SSG offers a Jump Map (or full map for the small scenarios) view of the scenario. The filenames are a tad generic. Sorry about that but my remedy was to add in this guide. Use SSG when you are referring to it. Note: For some of the Kulm scenarios I noted the "Klenau" should be "Kleist" where it refers to the II Prussian Corps. Most of you that know about the Dresden campaign will know to apply this change mentally but for those that are not up on Kulm it happened just after Dresden, Vandamme and his I Corps were trapped between Kleist's II Corps as it emerged on their rear (after having made an epic retreat from the Dresden battlefield between the right and left pincers of the French army) and the main Allied army to their front. Kleist was overrun by some of Vandamme's cavalry and really his corps was never the same for the campaign. Vandamme's corps on the other hand was almost wiped out. His units that did escape were a shadow of themselves. See the screenshot of a sample page of the SSG on John's website (Leipzig promo page). The scenario list is also in the SSG. You can also download the shorter doc from John's site to see the entire gamut of scenarios. |

There you go! It was a royal pain to produce (I learned the value of Page Breaks in Excel as to how the conversion to PDF would work). I know that I have used it already plenty of times to take a look at a particular setup for a scenario. The filenames are cryptic to choose from. Using the Guides jump map view really speeds up time in finding what you are looking for. |

Bill this is excellent, a big help. I am trying to get my head around the operational plan for 075 at the moment and this is a good input. |

GOOD LUCK! Like I said in my email - when I saw you post that challenge my eyes got as big as watermelons! As Warren Bajan will attest the Op Leipzig was our most coveted game to be in. We had to turn people down as our teams would fill up so fast. I sat down and thought of every plan Napoleon could do at Leipzig and it all comes down to that there is not much he can do to give the Allies a bloody nose AND get off of the map too. It all comes down to execution by the Allies once they recognize what Napoleon is up to. The early visibility will cut down on what both sides can see. We played the 074 mainly as it was a tad more realistic but unleashed gives both sides the "Pack up and move the entire army on turn 1" option which so many folks like to do in these games. I believe I have an unbeatable plan as the Allies. It requires patience and the belief that Napoleon will probably waste himself on the first day. I have yet to see a patient French player in this club .... except for Bill Peterson. He is the only guy that has the patience it takes at all levels of play to hold a good reserve as a French player for the end game. Most French players waste their cavalry too early. If you can weather that storm you can beat them. But good luck and be sure to send me the final result. It helps for update purposes. |

Patience sir? Why I don't have time for that Oh perhaps when my horse gets his daily grooming I am at least patient for that. |
