Post subject:  Leipzig Update - Out VERY Soon

With the release of Campaign 1814 we soon will put out the Campaign Leipzig update. As of today I will no longer be starting up scenarios for folks. Just wait for the update to come out.

This weekend I will work on a solitaire version of the Silesian Campaign. I was unable to put out Solo campaigns for the Leipzig Campaign release and I now will put one out for the guys that like to play the game solitaire.

Added in will be tons of corrections and a few new things as well. The new feature "Reinforcement Variable Arrival Hex" will also be in the updated engine. This feature was released in Campaign 1814 and is similar to the feature in the ACW game series. Basically, you can assign more than one arrival hex for reinforcement groups.

John was VERY pressed for time for this title and it was the only feature that got added but it really helps us model some of the situations in the scenarios. Will Blucher arrive to the east of Waterloo or in the rear area of the French army? Will Bernadott'e Army of the North arrive at Leipzig at its historical location or somewhere else? I used this feature in the 1814 game (but it arrived too late for me to actually make use of it in a lot of the scenarios) for the campaign scenarios and several of the ones in the main folder.

Anyway, I will be working with Leipzig this weekend and will get the update off to John no later than Monday. Look for it sometime AFTER that and please do not badger us about it ...

I just posted the files to my server for John Tiller to download. Look for the update to come out early this week, as early as tomorrow. I will post a link here once it is out.

I am trying to get an Austerlitz update done as well. Jena would follow after that hopefully.

I just approved the Leipzig update that John posted for me to look at. The update should be out no later than Saturday I am guessing. Might even be this afternoon depending on John' schedule.

Bill
Am I correct in thinking the Leipzig patch will be posted on the John Tiller site not HPS :?:

If the game was released by HPS then the update will be on the HPS site. If by JTS then on the JTS site.

There never will be a mixing of the updates unless for some reason John would end up with the HPS games under his banner and I do not think that that will happen unless HPS went out of business.
