Sir John Moore embarked on his fateful voyage for Spain after he could not work out terms for use of his force with this European monarch. Name the monarch and the war in which Sir John Moore would have become engaged.

Monarch was Gustavus IV (hope I didn't butcher his name). Now, for the war.... darn... one of those bloody #Coalition wars no doubt. Guess I only get half credit. I'll hazard, the War in the Baltic.

I believe it is a historical record that Napoleon turned down the offer of an inventor who had the designs of an actual submarine. Another in a line of what if's . :( :shock: :? :mrgreen:

I believe the submarine was designed to approach an enemy ship and attach a mine or some kind of bomb to the vessel, and Nappy thought it was too dangerous, or some such... :twisted:
As for hot air, that could relate to the balloon observation corps that he disbanded (having been formed by Carnot...). :roll:

The Tirailleur, walking by the table where sits the Mad Prussian, offers this suggestion to go with the libations of East Prussian Swamp vodka, "Perhaps you could summon the Shrike to shriek you a tune..." :lol:

Well the US Govt. is always looking for some terrorist operative - good rewards paid. Maybe a new line of work is what you need?

I was bummed when the SEALS got Bin Laden - I was really looking to collect the reward! Think of all of the miniatures it would have bought. :mrgreen:

I don't think L'Empereur was by blood, however, perhaps the famous hat he wore is similar to a style worn by the Japanese? The bicone? Bicorne I mean.

Cliff was leading SEAL Team 6 that day, but he can't talk about it. I probably just got my phones tapped (again) just for making that comment. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
