| Post subject: | Battle of Lutzen Question |
Can anyone help out with this question: The French regiments that were numbered from #130 to 150 series (with some exceptions) lacked elite companies. Did they in fact deploy skirmishers at Lutzen and other battles during the SPRING campaign? This needs to be a FACTUAL answer and not based on guess work. Please - no conjecturing. These units were drawn from the National Guard and other sources. Bowden and others make it clear that they had no elite companies. If anyone can give me a bonafide answer on this one I would appreciate it. I also will be looking to post this question on the Nap series forum as well. |
