Welcome to the NWC, Leutnant Nelson! You must forgive Marechal Bardon as he is a bit miffed at the Hanoverians for their recent modification of one of the Old Guard's Bearskins for a rather more useful purpose. Well that, and the fact that Old Boney's Continental System is wreaking utter havoc on his selection of available fragrances at the moment. :oops: :oops: :oops:

I have accepted this new Prussian Officer challenge for battle and soon he will be scathed and wiser! And if all goes well, I will be unscathed and wiser as well! I am waiting for his reply.

Colonel Kling is a most honorable officer, Leutnant Nelson. I would certainly recommend him to you as a first opponent. :) :D :P

He also sports, at least in my opinion, perhaps the very finest forum signature of any officer in the club. :P :mrgreen: 8)

Gentlemen of the NWC,

Thanks to all for the warm welcome, I raise my glass to each of you. Let us drink and tell stories of glory won on the battlefield tonight.

I doubt that I will emerge unscathed in my engagement with Colonel Kling but I’m sure to emerge wiser. Anyway, wounds heal but glory lasts forever!

With a crash, the door to the tavern burst open and causes many of the old campaigners to start for their swords, all save the fine Brigadier of Hanover, for yes, Kinder, Der Wurger is in the house! :shock:

"Ach, Was ist Das? Vhy, es ist einer neuer junger Kinder fur der Prussischer Armee! Baa ha ha!!" :D

"Helga, Helga mein Schotz, was ist Herr Nelson drinking? Oh schade! :( All of der frumpy General Offizers have emptied his purse. :( Well, fear not as I have yet again gathered more French supplies from the battlefield, it seems der French only carry wine, consider this case a gift from one Deutscher to another. :D Trink, trink jedeman!" :D
