It would seem that LGA Command is a bit bashful about announcing the promotions granted to their finest officers. No matter, we Hanoverians are not really very bashful at all.

Congratulations to Todd Schmidgall for his recent promotion to Lieutenant Colonel! :P :P :P

Thanks for asking, Helga. I do believe I will have another Jagermeister on LGA's tab. Handling the staff work of two armies is rather thirsty business. And by the way, if you happen to see a fellow named Alex Cuva, would you kindly ask him to reinstate my NWC Forum account for me. I have a lot of work yet to do and the longer I am without my administrative privileges, the more it is going to back up on me. General Desruiex (sorry Pierre, I know I mispelled that) has been kind enough to loan me his account for the moment, but I would really be much more comfortable using my own if possible. This temporary account that I have created does not allow me to perform my assigned duties for our club. It has been over three days now since I made my initial request to Alex, and the resetting of my account is a two minute job at worst. I honestly cannot explain how I lost it in the first place. An unexplained computer glitch I assume.

Bravo to the Emperors ADC if he not a ADC he should be. That the problem when you have one man handling a important job!

The newly promoted Lieutenant Colonel stands to take the proffered glass of wine from Helga, and raising it, salutes the fellows gathered around his table.

"Whether friend or foe upon the battle maps, my thanks gentlemen."

Congratulations Lt Colonel. Allied rabble beware this officer carries a Marechal's Baton in his knapsack for sure.
Helga a round for this table please.

To my Allied Bretheren, I would just add that the presence of a Marechal’s baton, or most notable absence thereof, is not a true indicator of martial prowess. The Empyreal Blue Bug Masher is an indication of longevity more than anything else, often achieved through the award of copious administrative points issued to certain officers for sedentary, administrative tasks performed for La Grande Armee. :o

I happen to have the privilege of acquaintance with a fine, feathered General of France who is more deadly than any Marechal with which I have ever contested a field of battle. Although we do have a seemingly irreconcilable difference of opinion pertaining to national leadership, we both agree that Colonel Schmidgall is a very fine officer who is destined for greatness within La Grande Armee. :P  8)

Well, assuming that one of my Jagers does not inadvertently shoot him first. Hmmm, yes, that would be tragic.

I have this Officer's back who will soon be defeating the enemies of Napoleon's Empire where ever they appear. Besides your Jagers are more likely to shoot themselves in the foot before hitting any La Grande Armee Officers!

The 2nd Grenadier Division salute you, monsieur le lieutenat-colonel, from their all barrels :!:
My officers look forward to hail you on a battlefield personally.

My dear Colonel Kling, you may guard the brave Tirailleur's back all you want, but as for my Jagers, they will no doubt shoot him in the front.

Well, unless he turns to run away of course....

Ah, but then again, they are really Der Wurger's Jagers now in any case.

Josephine lay under the chair of General Knox, playing with the tassels of his sword. It was really listless play as the dear cat was bored. She needed something to do, to hunt, to challenge her hunting senses. A cat needs a certain level of excitement in life. Maybe there is a moth or mouse around to chase? Anything would be better that these stuffy, blabbering old men. Just then, her ears picked up a sound. It was ever so slight, like a wisp of wind, but her instincts told different. She turned her head to see and the sight schock her so that she involuntarily let out a hiss, then quickly got up and leapt into the lap of Lt. Col. Schmidgall. Surprised by the cats action the Lt. Col. said, "Why my dear Josephine, how nice of you to come visit." But, instead of turning to look at him as he scratched behind her ears, she looked away and hissed again. Looking towards the point of the cats attention, he realized the reason for the cats attitude.......

Yes, Der Wurger is in the Haus! :D

"Helga, Helga mein Schotz, I am so dry, a drink, a drink for my throat. Why, I never be able to sing my best without something to wet my whistle!" :D

"Ach, you French, you call this a party. It is much too quiet heir! :( Why, you'd think it might be a funeral. Nein, nein, this is not gut! Wir muss Singen! :D :D :D " "ok, ok, ja, ja.... it's suppose to be a French party, zo, in celebration of Herr Schmidgalls promotion I have a special treat." :o
