I can understand the poor world situation and the need to work. But I can't understand why so many Allied players are not playing????

Col Dumas,

Maybe you scared them off! I am engaged in battles with seven of them and I am sorry if I am hogging them. I also have two battles that the allied officers have bailed on me. So that accounts for nine of them.

Battle On (Well, if you can find one to battle on with!)

Engaged in a Jena campaign, a Leipzig campaign, and a full Leipzig battle, plus playtesting a future title so I'm just too busy to provide cannon fodder to another of you over perfumed garlic loving minions of that Corsican dwarf you call an emperor. :)

Bailing out is the new way that these Allies play maybe if you stay in the club fifty years a Lt might make General. I have ten games that are slow as they can be maybe they also will bail . I think far too many Allied General Officers play test new games. maybe they should give points to Maneuvers that about the only games anyone might get, still waiting on the results of the Son2011 game I was in with Gen Paco??? Did we win or what????

Unfortunately, the Loser's Bracket of the 2011 SON Tournament simply died from lack of interest. The progress made in the 3rd Round by the stated deadline was really pitiful. So bad, in fact, that it prompted me to ask if the officers in this bracket were even interested in continuing. I remember that you and one other officer were still willing to fight. I think I had one or two other officers that said scrap it. The remainder, well I know this might surprise you, but I never heard a word from them. Based on the lack of progress in Round 3, and the lack of response, I just scraped the remaining two rounds of the bracket as I knew they would never be played.

Regarding your other comments, Allied officers who bail on games are AWOL and, just like in any other army, are lined up against a wall and shot. I cannot blame you for not liking that. I do not like it either. Fortunately, most of my opponents have stayed the field. As for me, well I never go AWOL. I just consider it to be bad form. I prefer to wrestle my opponent to the ground and hold him there until he publically admits that Nappy B has smelly feet, after which I will help him up and return his sword.

And regarding the keen wit of FM Nelms, I think it just comes naturally to Anglo-Allied officers. All part of the overall package of dashing good looks, rapier like wit, and unbounded humility.

Mon chere colonel,
if you so eager to play and have enough free time, I would offer you to test with me one of my new R&H scenario, and we could register it as a fight in DOR system, if you need extra game points.
