Post subject:  Welcome Sous-Lt Adam Nosko to Tirailleurs et Dragons!
At their corner table(s) in the common room, the officers of the Tirailleurs et Dragons! are gathering.

Their numbers have grown in the last months, first with Lt Col Reaves answering the call to arms in a Brigade Challenge. Then it was Col Purcell joining for an epic fight in R&H Eckmuhl in One Battle.

Now, the bravo French officers are celebrating the newest addition to their gallant band, fresh from the Ecole Militaire, Sous-Lt Adam Nosko!

The men talk loudly, drinking fine spirits and eating the good food brought to their table by Helga and a near battalion of helpers.

The talk was of battles underway, several in distant Russia, at Dennewitz, and soon in Bavaria.
And much as well of the looming SON II Tournament, with the bold band offering up several two man combat teams for the MP section of the tourney.

To Adam, Sous-Lt of the Tirailleurs du Corse, salute!

Quietly seated at a nearby table is a Brigadier of the King's Guard Dragoons. To his right is the green coated Commander of the Hanoverian Field Jagers.

"Haf you noticed, Herr General, dat these Frenchmen multiply like ze fleas", said the Jager officer. "One vould think dat they vould run out auf swords to equivp dem, ja?"

"Particularly with as many of their weapons as we have claimed", replied the Hanoverian Guardsman. "Ah, it would seem that these Sharpshooting Serpents are actually serious about challenging us, Capitan Peccolo."

"Ja, Herr General" replied the Jager officer with a wry grin. "Es ist gut! I am alvays looking fur ze new targets und I vould zertainly hate to run out."

The Hanoverian Commander chuckles at his Jager Commander's comment. "I have no doubt that is a true statement, Captain. After all, Hanoverian Jagers have a fine reputation for rarely missing once they draw upon thier targets."

Raising his glass in the direction of the table at which the Tirailleurs et Dragons were enjoying thier revelry. Welcome to the finest, regular unit in La Grande Armee, Sous-Lieutenant Nosko, thinks the Hanoverian Guardsman quietly to himself. Learn all you can, sir, for soon enough you will be tested in the fiery crucible of combat.

Helga , Please a bottle of your finest Bordeaux for the Brigadier in return for his warm welcome toast to our newest and most noble comrade, and another round of the finest cognac for my comrades as we celebrate Adam's arrival .

Let there be merry times tonight as tomorrow brings many opportunities to crush our allied foes. (though they be friends tonight)

Rumors have carried in Tavern very quick, so thanks for the welcome, but there is also even better time to celebrate! Congratulations on promotion to Colonel!!! In Polish Army( real) we used to say: The better Colonel in family but General is best:)) Sire, please prepare your saber, I have cold Brut Impérial for special occasions. Let's drink and wish you next promotion on the battlefield.

Ah, Col Purcell, how kind of you to provide some of your private wine stocks (of which this lover of wine has heard much about) for our table this evening.

Well, I will join with you for toasts Sous-Lieutenant Adam Nosko. Let the Great Napoleon (we say "Wielki Bartek" - the Polish name, affectionately, the equivalent of Big Bart, Great Bartholomew, as told to Napoleon in us at that time, and the regular French soldier "Bartek") does not forget about us, and each Aliant (we say "Janusz" - the Polish name, affectionately, the equivalent of John) let tremble before you! :roll:
